Anambra Insecurity: Mr. Valentine Ozigbo Joins Forces with Popular Catholic Priest Fada Ebube Monso
Valentine Chineto Ozigbo (born July 20, 1970) is a Nigerian politician and business executive. He is the immediate past President and Chief Executive Officer of Transnational Corporation of Nigeria plc (Transcorp), a diversified conglomerate with strategic investments and core interests in the hospitality, agribusiness and energy sectors[2] He was appointed to the position in 2019.
With the recent insecurity in Anambra state, Mr Valentine Ozigbo has joined the popular catholic priest reverend father Ebu-bay Monso, to castigate the poor governance by current governor Charles Soludo. On Mr Ozigbo official twitter handle @valentineozigbo – the Founder, @vcofoundation, Biggest Promoter of Freestyle Football in Africa, @feetntricks
Senator Ozigbo starts with Charles Soludo’s viral video here as follows:
He said: The audacity to deflect responsibility is staggering. Governor Soludo recently suggested, in a “homily”, conducting research on why young people leave the church for traditional religions, indirectly placing blame on the church for the state’s insecurity. Such an approach is not only misplaced but also underscores a troubling detachment from the real issues. If the governor feels more suited to academic pursuits than governance, perhaps it is time to grant him his wish. Leadership demands practical solutions, not dissertations. Your Excellency, if governance is proving too challenging, the classroom eagerly awaits your return next year. Blaming religious institutions, whether Christian or traditional, is an absurd distraction from the crux of the matter: the failure of leadership and the family unit. Both the leaders and the led bear responsibility. However, as the leader of Anambra State, Governor Soludo must take ownership and acknowledge his role in the state’s deteriorating security. It is alarming that, in this modern era, kidnappings for ransom have flourished unchecked, accounting for nearly 98% of the state’s insecurity. Whether this reflects incompetence or a sinister political strategy for re-election and pursuit of a selfish political ambition of the next President of Igbo extraction, it is unacceptable. Kidnapping operations, no matter how well-planned, rely heavily on telecommunications. A serious government would leverage the intelligence embedded in mobile technology to dismantle these amateur criminal networks. The lack of decisive action reflects poorly on the administration’s commitment to safeguarding the state. Anambra deserves leadership that prioritizes practical solutions over academic theories.
