Cole walked in the exoskeleton today at Sheltering Arms in Richmond, Virginia! The exoskeleton is a piece of technology used to help individuals walk who are otherwise unable to.

It also allowed us to have our first standing hug and it was awesome!

It is amazing seeing people break through their limitations. Seeing people overcome such adversity and power through everyday things people take for granted. Maybe it’s working out or going for a walk, something everyday people see as easy. Sometimes these easy tasks for ordinary people can be big hills to climb for others with disabilities. It definitely makes you appreciate what you have more and hopefully, it inspires you to reach your goals.

In this video, you can see a young quadriplegic man walk using an exoskeleton.

Cole, the young man in the video, runs a vlog channel where he shows off his life with his girlfriend, Charisma. His channel is called Roll with Cole and Charisma, with some irony lies in the fact that Cole uses a wheelchair.

Cole is , which means partial or total paralysis of all four limbs, especially the legs. Most commonly caused by a spinal injury or disease in the neck. Obviously, Cole has some of his mobility in his arms so he might be partially paralyzed in his arms and totally paralyzed in his legs. Cole and his mother founded RollWithCole organization to help promote active lifestyles and raise awareness for the physically challenged within the Virginia region, with hopes to reach people further than that!

Cole and his girlfriend, Charisma, run this vlog where they go about showing their life and relationship. Even some instructional videos, transferring from wheelchair to car, getting into an inaccessible house for wheelchairs, etc. This video shows off him walking in exoskeleton suit and Charisma gets to see him walk for the first time. She actually works at were Cole trains and gets therapy, which is where they met and how she is so closely invested in his situation. They look like a great couple!

In the video, the couple arrives at Sheltering Arms Hospital, a physical rehabilitation clinic in Richmond, Virginia. Cole will be using an exoskeleton suit which helps with walking for those who are unable to walk. Cole is a jokester, likes to have a lot of fun and jokes around. He seems to be a lighthearted guy and doesn’t let his situation get him down and decides to make the most of it. The way he is messing around and falling back after getting removed from his wheelchair is nice to see!

He starts by getting stretched out with a trainer and Charisma. They work his legs and hips a bit to get him ready for the suit. This is a pretty big suit, it straps all the way up to his chest and along the side of his body, and it even goes down to his shoe! They are able to stand him and he is able to give Charisma their first standing hug! They are both very excited and they strap him into a walker for some balance now so he can begin walking. He is very anxious and before you know he is off walking everywhere with the trainers.

Definitely, an amazing video to see and it is great to see Cole on his feet!
