Drury Hotels proposes demolition of former Board of Education public library building

The former Board of Education public library building in downtown Kansas City has sat vacant for the past two years. Drury Hotels is interested in building a brand new hotel in that spot. Drury Hotels plans to bulldoze the currently 9-story building and replace it with a 10-story Drury Plaza Hotel with 242 rooms, 5,000 square feet of meeting room space and a parking garage.
