25.01.13 Year Planning

Before we get too deep into the new year, it's a good time to figure out what and how you're going to track your productivity for the new year - and all the other things in your life.

Whether it's that pretty Erin Condren calendar or a simple paper calendar from Dollar Tree, having it written down can be helpful - as well as online in pretty colors in a calendar like your Google Calendar.

Plug in your events - birthdays, trips, conventions, girls weekends, massages - whatever you need (Including that day you take for yourself every week - wink) and then you can visualize when you'll need to plan for those eventual expedites right before a vacation - or something like that.

Track other things about your working life - dedicated editing time (how many pages per hour), what type of work you do by category, who are you working for by agency, law firm, attorney... you get the drift.

Knowing your business can help you understand the direction you want to take (or want to avoid in the future) and can assist you in crafting your marketing, pricing, etc, on into the future!
