How Genghis Khan used a 1000 cats to conquer the world
Genghis Khan's use of 1,000 cats was not aimed at world conquest but was a tactical maneuver during a specific siege. According to historical anecdotes, during the siege of a city, possibly Volohoi (in modern-day Ningxia, China), Khan demanded 1,000 cats from the city's defenders as a condition for lifting the siege. Once acquired, he had cloth tied to the cats' tails, set it alight, and released them back into the city. The terrified cats ran back to their hiding spots, spreading fires throughout the city, causing chaos and aiding in the Mongol forces' eventual capture of the city. This illustrates Khan's strategic use of whatever resources were at hand, including animals, to achieve military objectives. #GenghisKhan
