DOMINO was written for my band students with the purpose of providing them with a “fun” song to play. The main challenge in DOMINO is to keep the tempo throughout the piece, especially between measures (21-29). The low brass and woodwinds four measure phrase is repeated throughout the song and will allow the younger players to have success once they have learned their four measure phrase.

It is my hope that DOMINO will provide students with a song that they will enjoy learning to play and provide other music educators with a teaching tool that can be used to motivate and encourage their students.
