The composition Benedicto was written for the Madison County Central School Bands, Madison, Florida. It was inspired by Jeremiah 17:7 9 (NLT), which reads, “But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence.” The word BENEDICTO is of Latin origin, and it's meaning is associated with the word “blessed.”

Benedicto is dedicated to all of my former music students in the Madison County Florida School System, who I had the privilege of teaching from 1974-2016.

It is my hope that Benedicto will provide students with a song that they will enjoy learning to play, and provide other music educators with a teaching tool that can be used to motivate and encourage their students.
