Kansas City Mayor Sly James will be making an announcement Friday morning about a pre-K initiative that has received some pushback. He'll make the statement at Union Station at 9:45 a.m. The mayor has been pushing for a three-eighths-cent sales tax proposal to go on the November ballot. It would generate $30 million a year for pre-K assistance.
