PROVING The TRINITY To a MUSLIM In The Old Testament | Sam Shamoun

The Quran claims that Allah is one and singular (Quran 112:1-4). Yet, Genesis 18 and 19 clearly demonstrate the Triune nature of the one true God, YAHWEH. Abraham encounters three individuals, with one explicitly identified as YAHWEH—Jehovah Himself.

The Lord, in the form of a man, spoke directly to Abraham. This interaction reveals God’s intimate involvement with His creation—a stark contrast to the distant and unknowable Allah described in Islamic theology. Islam denies that God could or would interact with humans in such a personal way, yet the Bible proves otherwise: God is both transcendent and immanent.

Genesis 19:24: “Then the LORD rained on Sodom and Gomorrah sulfur and fire from the LORD out of heaven.” Here, we see two YAHWEHs—one on earth and one in heaven—acting in perfect unity. This dynamic interaction obliterates Islam's monolithic view of God and affirms the Christian doctrine of the Triune Godhead.

Moreover, Abraham's dialogue with the Lord illustrates God’s justice and mercy. The Lord patiently listens as Abraham pleads for Sodom, showing divine compassion even for sinners. This quality is absent in the Quran, where Allah’s justice is often arbitrary and merciless, condemning individuals based on whims rather than consistent love and justice (Quran 5:18). The Christian God, as seen here, is the true Judge of all the earth (Genesis 18:25), perfectly just and full of grace.

No such profound revelation exists in Islam, where the Quran offers confusion instead of clarity about the nature of God.
