Most people who have heard of the Babylonian king Hammurabi are familiar with him as a lawgiver. While his code of laws is famous, there is more to his story than most people realize. Not only was Hammurabi one of the greatest kings of the ancient world, but he was also a shrewd politician, statesman, tactician, and builder. In this video, we look at the political life of Hammurabi and his reign as king of not just Babylon, but practically all of Mesopotamia.
