Genesis 35 is about Jacob's fulfillment of his vows to the Lord, and the establishment of Bethel as the House of God. Genesis Chapter 36 is a genealogical record of Esau's family and the rulers of Edom, the nation that descended from Esau. The chapter reveals many lessons including the fulfillment of God's promise to Abraham to be "the father of many nations”; the fulfillment of Rebekah's oracle that "Two nations are in thy womb"; Showing the fulfillment of Isaac's blessing that "Thy dwelling shall be the fatness of the earth"; and Giving light to the stories of what passed between the Edomites and Israel.
