Also, towards the end, Monique stated a bill had been passed requiring parental notification for minors. Monique believes she mis-comprehended what the attorney was saying. WILLIAM 'GUBI' CHIRIBOGA (co-producer)Chris Shimojima (https://imdb.com/name/nm2782356) graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Dramatic Writing. He works as a film writer/director, commercial director, and editor. Chris was an AICP award nominee for his Arena Water Instinct commercial. His ancestry is Japanese and Chinese. He is an avid swimmer and a classical pianist. Chris started as a classical pianist in his journey of the creative process. Interpretive musicians like him study simple and complex pieces and learn to listen carefully, not just to music, but to everything. Chris avoided wearing headphones when he was younger and whenever he can on set. He listens intently and carefully to what everyone is saying, to his surroundings, creatures in the park, trains coming down the tracks, braking and rolling away, the pace, tempo and noises of people traversing a bustling city street. Music was everywhere to him, even in his sleep. Chris paid close attention to his thoughts. Those are worth listening to as well. He saw them come and he saw them go. Silence was short-lived, then they would come back again. When thoughts disappeared through persistent observation, there was the hum of the silence of the night, the surrounding environment, the wilderness naked and alive, clock ticking far away in other rooms and places, and cars racing down the street to come to a sudden halt. He combined all these sounds and feelings to create, inspire, compose music, write prose, develop dialogue, generate thoughts and plays. This keen sense of observation of the world around us is how Chris approaches film, intricately blending them together in a subtle, yet detailed and determined manner. He's always looking for the music in the drama, gun shot, splash, lyrics, images, sounds, and acting performances. He's looking for the music in people's steps. Is that the way the character would walk silently or loudly down the street? Looking not just to capture lifestyles and projections, but to turn them into bolder statements, experiences and stories. Maybe this is something of a creative vérité. He knows how to get real performances from actors just by listening, and often non-actors too. He maps sequences to give their inner and outer worlds a compelling, playful rhythm and meaning of life captured on film.
