Benedict and Hannah Townsend, hosts of the Talk of the Townsends podcast, shared their theory on TikTok. They observed that in a gala scene from Playing Nice, Norton’s character, Pete Riley, wore a plain suit while every other male attendee donned a tuxedo. This detail caught their attention because Bond actors are reportedly barred from wearing tuxedos in other media during their tenure as 007.

Benedict explained, “It’s only after you’ve signed the contract that you can wear a tux again. Daniel Craig avoided tuxedos in films while he was Bond.” Hannah added, “It could be a wardrobe choice, but maybe it’s a sign James Norton has already signed on as Bond.”
