Former Howard Government Minister Peter McGauran has slammed the “incompetent maladministration” of the California Governor and LA Mayor for water scarcity in the state’s unprecedented wildfires.

President-elect Donald Trump has blamed California's Gavin Newsom for the "apocalyptic" wildfires ravaging parts of Los Angeles

“There will be no hiding for the mayor of Los Angeles and the governor of California on this issue and the responsibilities as the public assign it,” Mr McGauran told Sky News Australia.

“There is going to have to be a lot of self-examination, reflection and action coming out of these tragedies.”
