Our new government is taking so many measures and adopting so many actions that are beyond wildly counterintuitive that it is simply impossible to understand what they are really trying to do.
They are even outdoing the Tories in this respect.

Remember that the Tories adopted so many bad policies and took so many bad actions and did so much damage that millions of people believed there was actually some kind of conspiracy going on and many of them wrote to me in droves saying “Dr Roger, wake up and smell the coffee, no one could be this stupid.“
