Our 2024 | Year In Review | Family Memories

We started 2024 celebrating being in our house for a year and thankful to not be moving and trying to sell a house. I had to prepare for yet another surgery (will try and get a video out about what has been going on with me over the past almost 4 years). I reconnected with many old friends in 2024 of which was really nice and I am continuing reconnecting here in the beginning of 2025. I started maintaining a former band director's website for his business and will actually be doing a major revamp on it in a few months. Michael and I actually went and saw him play in the West Virginia Symphony. I have been wanting to see the symphony for as long as I can remember and finally got to do it! Thomas and I got to see him conduct the choral society that he's the director of. Jon and I got to have a kid free weekend and went to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA. Celebrated a close family friend's college graduation. Jon celebrated streaming for a year. He streams three nights a week and I still work on editing them and promoting them via his socials. Got to celebrate with former band members and directors our high band turning 100 over two different weekends! Even got to march on our football field to play during halftime. Jon and I celebrated our 20th anniversary by going to a very nice steakhouse. Our waitress even brought us a champagne toast with some dessert! We went on a Myrtle Beach vacation with Jon's parents. Did lots of go karting over the Summer. Built a swing set for the backyard of which everyone had a hand in putting together. Had another Tennessee getaway to the Smokey Mountains and with my mom. This time was to celebrate close family friends' 70th birthdays. Met Bluey, Bingo, and Sonic at our local Camp location. Ended the year going to see ICE at Gaylord National and see the Christmas lights & decorations at Longwood Gardens with Jon's family.
