"Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.” And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. I tell you I will not drink again of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom. " Matthew 26:26-29

   Imagine that moment with me here and now, as a disciple who's seen and walked the walk with the great Messiah who came down as the son of man... the anticipation, the joy, the curiosity of what this moment might have looked like, and all the more, to see the very day that was marked in history as great, yet a day of much sorrow and deep pain. Despite such curiosity and wonder, let us peer into the greatness of a God who ordained and orchestrated such a day to be marked by the glory of God. The day of communion. As we have the great privilege and true honor, let's mark tonight as a night where we commune with God, where we expect the unexpected and open up your arms and hearts for all that God has for you, not starting with a complete 180 turn around in your life or fulfilling some religious act, but at the feet of Jesus.
