Georgia Judge Arrested: Felony Assault on Cop #Bodycam #Video

An off-duty #Atlanta #Police #Officer working security at Red Martini Restaurant and Lounge in Buckhead noticed a disturbance outside the Mooddog Bar next door. While trying to escort a woman away to calm things down, another woman, identified as Judge Christina Peterson, approached, shouting at both the officer and a security guard.

Things escalated when Peterson shoved the officer in the chest and repeatedly swiped at his hands, interrupting efforts to resolve the situation peacefully. After a second shove to the chest, police say Peterson was arrested but refused to provide her information, delaying the process. Officers eventually confirmed her identity.

In newly released #footage Peterson, visibly upset in the back of a police car, tells officers, "Book me in … unbuckle me and book me in." She insists she hasn’t committed a crime, calling the arrest "harassment" and "poli-tricks."

The #bodycam #video suggests Peterson may have mistaken the arresting #officer for the man she claims attacked the woman she was defending. She accuses him of hitting the other woman and arresting her for standing up to his alleged disrespect toward women.
