The fire hydrants are empty, firefighting planes cannot be refueled - and this is how the disaster in LA and the surrounding area takes its course.

There is no end in sight to this catastrophe.

The 5,000 firefighters deployed to battle the blaze were unable to extinguish the flames by more than a meter.

Much of what is currently happening in the crisis area could have been prevented.

For years, California's government has been engaging in unprecedented mismanagement.

The forests have not been cared for for ages, but have been left to themselves according to pseudo-ecological principles.

Vast amounts of completely dried-out undergrowth allow even the smallest fires to grow into gigantic fires.

Southern California is naturally water-stressed.

The quantities brought in from the Owens River and Mono Lake Basin over 330 miles (530 km) can hardly meet the ever-increasing demand.

An alternative project would have diverted rain and meltwater, of which there is more than enough in the north, to the south of the state.

Governor Newsom has refused to sign the bill for years because the water diversion could endanger the population of the rare smelt fish.

Instead of making the water available for use by people in the South, billions of liters of it are pumped into the Pacific every year.

But at the local level, things are not doing any better.

Instead of storing rainwater, which would flood like a torrent when it falls from the sky, it is allowed to flow into the ocean in huge concrete canals, like those seen in many films.

These rainfalls are so massive that the water is unable to seep into the ground to become available as groundwater.

Logical thinking and responsible action simply have no place in left-wing, green, vegan brains.

They are busy thinking up new ideological jokes like free gender choice, man-made climate change, abortion up to the due date, nurturing and caring for criminal illegal immigrants, “clean e-mobility” and what not, with which they can harass normal people, or rather Nazis!
