UNIT The 6 Day Miracle.

The forces of Egypt and Jordan combined,
together with Syria massed their tanks and planes.
The destruction of Israel is what they had in mind
for bigotry is what ran through their veins.
On the 5th of May the Tiran Straits to all our ships were closed.
This was tantamount to a declaration of war.
We knew we must respond to the provocation they posed.
We would not be bullied anymore!
Har Habayit biyadenu! Am Yisroel chai!

At 7.45 in the morning on June the 5th
183 of our planes revealed their mighty powers.
Islamic invincibility then became a myth:
the Egyptian air force shattered in 8 hours.
The IDF destroyed more than 800 enemy tanks,
with thousands of prisoners in their hands.
In 48 hours nearly half Egypt’s supplies
lay wrecked and ruined in the Sinai sands.

On June the 6th Shechem and East Jerusalem were won,
so were the Holy Temple and the West Wall.
On June the 7th the fight for Jordan Valley was done.
On June the 8th we saw the Hebron Hills fall.
On June the 9th the IDF took the Golan Heights.
On the June the 10th all Syrian forces fell.
Those days in 1967 were our greatest fights;
to our children it’s a story we must tell.
