About this episode:
I sat down with Ian Davidson-Dugan to unpack the realities of life in law enforcement. From the pressures of police work to the quirks of office politics, Ian didn’t hold back. He talked about the unexpected challenges cops face, hint: most of the stress comes from within the department, not the streets.

We dug into the media’s portrayal of police, the tough calls officers make under pressure, and how quotas and red tape can complicate things. Ian shared how training, especially disciplines like jiu-jitsu, can make or break an officer in high-stress situations. And yes, we touched on the pandemic, where moral dilemmas and government mandates left many officers questioning their roles.

Of course, we couldn’t avoid the thorny topic of corruption, but Ian’s take on how "good people in the right roles" can spark real change left me hopeful. We even wove in some thoughts on relationships and leadership, with Ian dropping wisdom about valuing time and respect in every aspect of life.

This one’s packed with laughs, insights, and some hard truths about the badge.
