The New State of Mexican America

This is a response by the Mexican president to Donald Trump's declaration of the renaming of the Gulf of Mexico. On the surface, this seems like an attempt to boost the "American Pride" aspect of the core of his voters, which it probably will do, but is there more? Mexico's President Scheinbaum must think so, else why even comment in private, much less in a public address. And she takes it a step further by showing a map of what many outside American borders recognize as the original extent of Mexican territory. My guess is that most world leaders are well aware of the panic mode that the US has been entrenched in for some time, and are expectant of a wave of aggression beyond what we have witnessed in the last two decades.
