Scorpions beautiful poisonous animals

Between 1750 and 2500 species are known worldwide. Scorpions are arachnids. Scorpions are between 9 millimetres and 21 cm in size. They live in deserts, semi-deserts and in the subtropics. They are found on all continents except Antarctica. All scorpions are venomous, but only a few are deadly to humans. These beautiful animals have a poisonous sting on their abdomen. Scorpions eat insects or other arachnids, but also small rodents, snails and lizards. They are eaten by birds, lizards, snakes and mammals. Have you ever seen a scorpion?
