Koalas, found in eucalyptus forests of eastern Australia, are marsupials with pouches where their newborns develop. They grow up to be big eaters, eating up to one kilogram of eucalyptus leaves daily. Their name comes from an Aboriginal term meaning "no drink," as they get most of their moisture from the leaves they eat. However, koalas have a long digestive organ called a cecum, which allows them to break down the leaves without harm. They can sleep for up to 18 hours a day, demonstrating that Jesus keeps them from poisonous substances. Koalas also enjoy snoozing in the branches, providing rest for their souls.
