On the run from her violent brother, the youthful outlier Bonnie meets a number of shady figures in Los Angeles: first she is picked up by the prostitute Pat, who entangles her in a kidnapping and robbery on a suitor. But Bonnie can escape, she ends up with lesbian artist Geraldine, and becomes her model and her lover. After a dispute, she finds help with the rich art collector Vincent, but among his bizarre inclinations is the attitude of an unusual selection of female "pets" in his basement, and Bonnie is said to become the latest access to his collection...
