Marvel Rivals: Season 1 Update Brings New Characters, Maps, and Rewards

Marvel Rivals, the third-person hero shooter released in December, is making waves in the gaming community. The game’s first major update, Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, arrives this Friday, introducing exciting new features for players.

Marvel Rivals allows players to compete in teams of two, choosing from over 30 Marvel superheroes and villains, such as Spider-Man, Wolverine, and Thor. The update will add three new maps—Empire of Eternal Night (New York City), Sanctum Sanctorum (Midtown), and Central Park—along with a fresh game mode called Doom Match. This new mode pits eight to twelve players in faction-based combat, where points are earned by eliminating opponents, and the top 50% emerge victorious.

Additionally, the Midnight Features event offers seasonal activities with limited-time rewards. Marvel Rivals is also partnering with Twitch to provide exclusive rewards via Twitch Drops for viewers watching live streams of the game.

The update includes enhancements to Vanguard and Duelist characters, strengthening gameplay dynamics. While much of the new content is free, players can purchase the Eternal Night Fall Battle Pass for 990 Lattice ($9.99). The pass unlocks exclusive rewards, including 10 costumes, sprays, and emotes.

With over 2.2 million members in its official Discord server, Marvel Rivals has quickly established itself as a major player in the gaming world. Season 1: Eternal Night Falls promises to keep the momentum going with thrilling updates and immersive experiences.
