Sandra Lee Loses Malibu Home to Devastating Los Angeles Wildfires | LiveVideo

Celebrity chef Sandra Lee revealed in an emotional Instagram video on Wednesday, January 8, that her Malibu home was destroyed by the Los Angeles wildfires. "I don’t have a home anymore. It’s literally gone,” she said tearfully. "I’ve been crying all night. Thank God everybody is safe.”

Lee, 58, shared her heartbreak over losing her cherished home, describing it as "perfection" before it was reduced to ash. In her caption, she expressed gratitude for prayers and asked her followers to support firefighters and first responders battling the blazes. "This is not over — not even close," she wrote, emphasizing the ongoing danger for the community.

The wildfires, fueled by intense Santa Ana winds, have forced the evacuation of thousands, with more than 13,000 structures under threat, according to the Associated Press. The Los Angeles Times reported that brush fires began on Tuesday, January 7, and continue to rage across the region.

In her posts, Lee reflected on her deep connection to her Malibu home, which she described as her "slice of heaven." She recalled her journey from being a waitress in 1989 to building the home she had dreamed of for decades. “I worked my butt off for it,” she wrote, adding that she is unsure how to process the loss but remains determined to rebuild.

Videos shared by Lee showed the fire encroaching on her property, thick black smoke blanketing the area, and ash falling from the sky. In one clip, a voice can be heard saying, “Sandra, it’s right here,” as she zooms in on flames nearing her home.
