Malibu in Ruins: Devastating Fires Destroy Beachfront Properties and Iconic The Reel Inn

Devastating fires have obliterated beachfront properties in Malibu, California, leaving destruction in their wake.

Authorities are urging all Malibu residents, even those not currently under evacuation orders, to prepare for potential evacuations as conditions remain unpredictable.

Erik Scott, spokesperson for the Los Angeles Fire Department, reported, “We experienced wind gusts reaching up to 100 miles per hour last night.”

Tragically, the iconic seafood restaurant, The Reel Inn, has also succumbed to the flames. Owners Teddy and Andy Leonard shared their heartbreak:
“We are so thankful for the 36 years we’ve been part of this community and to all our customers. We are heartbroken and uncertain about what remains.”
