VBM PLUS Italy’s Strategic Leap into the Future of Armored Warfare

The Iveco-Oto Melara Consortium has secured a major contract with the Italian Ministry of Defense to deliver 76 VBM PLUS armored vehicles as part of the Italian Army’s modernization program. This agreement includes advanced combat vehicles, anti-tank variants, and specialized logistics and support vehicles, aimed at boosting the capabilities of Italy’s Second Medium Brigade. The VBM PLUS features cutting-edge technology, including a powerful 720-horsepower engine, upgraded armament with the Leonardo X-GUN 30mm turret, and advanced communication systems. These vehicles also incorporate secure Galileo PRS satellite navigation, providing enhanced accuracy in contested environments.
