They cut the budget for firefighters, apply DEI so you have less qualified firefighters. Do nothing to prevent the recurring theme, then when it all burns, the people clamor for the government to step in and assist the people.

Which green lights them to go crazy with spending, and they hire all their friends and family businesses for the repairs and recovery, with inflated invoices that make no sense and could be done so much cheaper.
