2 Corinthians 13 Grace Giving 8:1-15

SBC Family,

Tonight we will be moving forward with 2 Corinthians 8. This is the beginning of the most extensive discussion on giving in the NT. Remarkably, it doesn't mention anything about tithing or commands to give. Giving is to be voluntary and from the heart. Paul explains it all so well it is difficult to believe pastors are able to put pressure on people to give and get away with it. Rather, it is the internal motivation by understanding the gospel of salvation that is really at the heart of giving.

Giving is the essence of grace!
