Myra gets Steve a job in the local mall working in the gift-wrapping department, while Carl and Laura portray Santa Claus and Santa's helper. Meanwhile, Richie's excitement over the impending holiday visit of his mother is squelched when her flight is canceled due to a blizzard. But Eddie secretly drives all the way to Detroit to get Rachel so Richie can be with his mother on Christmas morning.
