**Ingredients:**
*For the Koftas (Meatballs):*
- 500g mutton mince
- 1 small onion, finely grated
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped
- 2 tbsp roasted gram flour (besan)
- 1 egg
- Salt, to taste
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- ½ tsp cumin powder
- ½ tsp garam masala
*For the Gravy:*
- ½ cup oil or ghee
- 2 large onions, finely sliced
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 2 medium tomatoes, blended into a paste
- ½ cup yogurt, whisked
- 1 cup fresh cream
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- Salt, to taste
- Whole spices: 1 bay leaf, 1 cinnamon stick, 3 cloves
- Fresh coriander and slivered almonds for garnish
**Instructions:**
1. **Prepare the Koftas:**
- Combine all kofta ingredients in a bowl and mix thoroughly until smooth.
- Shape into small, smooth meatballs.
2. **Cook the Koftas:**
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the koftas until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
3. **Prepare the Gravy:**
- In the same pan, add whole spices and sauté until fragrant.
- Add sliced onions and cook until golden brown.
- Stir in ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute.
- Add tomato paste and cook until oil separates.
- Mix in yogurt, cream, and powdered spices. Cook until well combined.
4. **Combine Koftas and Gravy:**
- Gently add the koftas to the gravy.
- Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes until koftas are cooked through.
5. **Serve:**
- Garnish with fresh coriander and slivered almonds.
- Serve hot with naan or steamed rice.
