The official trailer for South Korean romantic comedy/zombie horror series Newtopia has arrived, offering a look at BLACKPINK's Jisoo fighting for both love and her life.

Set during the early stages of a zombie outbreak in Seoul, Newtopia follows soldier Jae-yoon (Park Jeong-min) and his girlfriend Young-joo (Jisoo). Well, technically ex-girlfriend. After an argument leads to the couple's split, Young-joo soon regrets it and resolves to reunite with Jae-yoon. Unfortunately, this ill-timed breakup happens to coincide with a sudden zombie infestation, forcing Young-joo to brave the undead if she wants to be with her boyfriend once more.

Even so, the risk of getting eaten apparently isn't enough to stop her, prompting long-suffering Jae-yoon to try finding his foolhardy girlfriend as well.

The official Prime Video YouTube channel just dropped the official trailer for what appears to be a new K-Drama series which shows that even when the world is falling apart and a zombie apocalypse is occurring, people will always pursue love no matter what happens. The K-Drama series is called 'Newtopia' and the trailer for it can be watched below.

Plot Details Of The Zombie Apocalypse K-Drama Series 'Newtopia'

Prime Video has described the series 'Newtopia' in the following manner, "Nothing says fate like fighting for a second chance at love...during a zombie virus outbreak."

In the trailer, we can get a glimpse at the two main characters. Lee Jae-yoon is the male lead, a soldier in the military. The female lead and Jae-yoon's girlfriend is called Young-joo. In the beginning of the trailer, it is revealed that the two broke up with one another right as the zombie apocalypse broke out. In a desperate attempt for survival and comfort, Young-joo attempts to make her way towards Jae-yoon, even if it means wading through a horde of zombies. In this bizarre scenario, it is up to Lee Jae-yoon to decide whether he sticks to his duties as a solider, or abandons his post in search of his ex-girlfriend.

'Newtopia' is directed by Yoon Sung-hyun, who worked on the series alongside writers Han Jin-won and Ji Ho-jin.

CULVER CITY, California-January 8, 2025-Today, Prime Video released the official trailer for Reacher Season Three. The eight-episode season will roll out weekly, with the first three episodes premiering on Thursday, February 20, and subsequent episodes dropping every Thursday through March 27, 2025, exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. After the second season was the most viewed release in 2023 on Prime Video, it was announced that Reacher had received an early renewal for a fourth season which will begin shooting this year.

Based on Lee Child's novel Persuader, in the third season of the action-packed series, Reacher hurtles into the dark heart of a vast criminal enterprise when trying to rescue an undercover DEA informant whose time is running out. There he finds a world of secrecy and violence - and confronts some unfinished business from his own past.

Reacher Season Three stars Alan Ritchson in the titular role of "Jack Reacher" with Maria Sten reprising her role as "Frances Neagley." New to the cast this season are Anthony Michael Hall as "Zachary Beck," Sonya Cassidy as "Susan Duffy," Brian Tee as "Quinn," Johnny Berchtold as "Richard Beck," Robert Montesinos as "Guillermo Villanueva," Olivier Richters as "Paulie," and Daniel David Stewart as "Steven Elliot."

Based on the novels by Lee Child, Reacher is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Skydance Television, and CBS Studios. Reacher is written for television by Emmy-nominated writer Nick Santora (FUBAR, Prison Break), who also executive produces and serves as showrunner. In addition to Santora and Child, Ritchson will serve as an executive producer, along with Don Granger, Scott Sullivan, Mick Betancourt, and David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell for Skydance. Carolyn Harris and Kenny Madrid are the executives-in-charge of the series for Skydance Television.

Newtopia (Korean: 뉴토피아) is an upcoming South Korean romantic fantasy television series starring Park Jeong-min and Jisoo. It is scheduled to premiere on Coupang Play on February 7, 2025, at 20:00 (KST) and will also be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video in selected regions.

Development
Newtopia series was directed by Yoon Sung-hyun, who directed Bleak Night (2010) and Time to Hunt (2020), and the script was co-written by Han Jin-won, who wrote Parasite (2019), and Ji Ho-jin, who wrote A Shop for Killers (2024).[4] It was produced by Bound Entertainment and Billions Plus. It is based on the novel Influenza by author Han Sang-woon.[5]

The production of Newtopia was confirmed on August 7, 2024.[6]

Casting
In 2023, Jisoo, Park Jeong-min, and Kim Jun-han were reportedly considering to appear, respectively.[7][8][9]

On April 8, 2024, Hong Seo-hee was reportedly confirmed to appear.[10] On August 1, Coupang Play confirmed the casting for Park and Jisoo.[11]

Release
In December 2024, Coupang Play confirmed that the series will be premiered on February 7, 2025, on their OTT platform and will also be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video in around 240 regions.[12][13]

Développement
Fin août 2023, une nouvelle série originellement intitulée Influenza (인플루엔자) pour la plateforme Coupang Play1. Le scénario est écrit par Han Jin-won, scénariste de Parasite (2019) de Bong Joon-ho, et Ji Ho-jin, à partir du manhwa éponyme de Han Sang-woon3. Yoon Sung-hyun s'est vue confiée à la réalisation3.

La série est produite par Bound Entertainment, en co-production avec Billions Plus2,10.

Début août 2024, Coupang Play publie une photographie de Park Jung-min et Kim Ji-soo, confirmés pour la série sous le titre officiel Newtopia (뉴토피아)11.

Mi-décembre 2024, les premières images sont dévoilées avec la date de diffusion annoncée : le 7 février 2025 à 20 h sur les plateformes Coupang Play et Prime Video dans plus de 240 pays et régions4,5,6.
