Armenia Eyes South Korea's K2 Main Battle Tank Adapted for Mountainous Terrain

In September 2024, Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan visited South Korea to explore the potential acquisition of K2 Black Panther main battle tanks, produced by Hyundai Rotem. This visit coincided with Papikyan's participation in the 2024 High-Level Meeting on Responsible Military Use of Artificial Intelligence (REAIM), held on September 9 and 10. During his trip, Papikyan initiated discussions with South Korean officials about the supply of advanced weaponry, focusing on the K2 tank.
