Today we are going to talk about Ayurveda. When we talk about Ayurveda, the first things that come to our mind are mountains, herbs, sages and some ashrams like things. Other than these, we have certified doctors working really well in the field of Ayurveda, not just in India but out of India as well. Today, we are sitting with such a great personality Dr. Vikram Chauhan. Dr. Welcome to our channel. Thank you so much that you spare some time today for us. Thank you very much. If we talk about ayurveda, the first question that comes to our mind is that - there are no side effects of Ayurveda. See, Ayurveda is composed of two words Ayurv and veda. Ayur means Life and #Veda means knowledge that is knowledge of life. So this is knowledge, which is the Indian traditional knowledge of medical science that has to be reached to every home, not just that but to the whole planet that is why we name it as Planet Ayurveda. That’s true. There are a lot of misconceptions about ayurveda. That it has side effects and it can harm you. Nothing like this. If you take them after consulting with an expert and well qualified Ayurvedic practitioner. So there are no side effects. This is a natural thing, if you will start using ginger regularly in large amounts then you will start having burning issues. So #ginger is not a thing that can harm you but if used in high unaccounted quantities then it could have a very little side effect but not to an extent that you have to go to hospital or there would be an emergency condition. It is just like burning or acidity, which can also be due to eating chillies.

So these kinds of problems a person can face but It is not like you will have any chemical reaction after consuming any kind of medicine, these are very natural herbs, organic, grown on soil. All foods that come off of earth or soil like fruits and vegetables, herbs ec. They come out from the soil, the same way our body is composed of 5 elements and herbs are also composed of 5 elements, those 5 elements are entering our body and getting mixed and do not cause any problem. Dr. There is one more question, we used to see a lot of people, when they go to any medical store or to a chemist shop to take medicine, so there we saw some people that were taking ayurvedic medicine on their own (without prescription). How accurate is that? Do not take any medicine on your own, that is very wrong. Ayurvedic doctors are available all over the country, #BAMS doctors, MD doctors are available in every city. These days even online #consultations are available. Take Ayurvedic medicine only as advised by Ayurveda #experts, do not take it on your own. So this is a very important message for all of you, for the audience, whatever medicine it could be whether allopathic, or Ayurvedic do not take it on your own and we can see that a lot of people watch it through YouTube. If we have one or the other problem we try to find out the solution from there only. We do not want to go to the doctor which is not right. Am I right dr.? Absolutely. Ayurveda is a simple philosophy “Sargadaan vikshepe somsurya anlayatha, dharyanti jagdehm kapha pitta analstatha” (shloka) . Just like Som (Moon), Surya(Sun), Anil (Air) are held in this universe, the same way Vata, pitta, Kapha held our body. Our body is composed of 5 elements: earth, water, air, fire, space. The whole universe is composed of these 5 elements only, the whole universe that is created by God. When the soul enters these 5 elements, it becomes life. Then only we say that the person is alive. The balance of 5 elements in the body, we say it is a healthy life. Shloka “Samadosha Samagnischa Samdhatu Malakriyah, prasannaatmendriyamanaah #svasthah #ityabhidheeyat.” This is a definition of health as per ayurveda, till your 5 elements are balanced you are healthy.
