Changing the chassis...
... of a Delorean DMC-12 🇺🇸
An iconic car, best known for its appearance in the ‘Back to the Future’ trilogy, conceived by John DeLorean, designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro and produced in Northern Ireland 🗺️
The DMC-12 is most recognisable for its gullwing doors and unpainted stainless steel bodywork. It was powered by a V6 PRV engine, but its performance was deemed disappointing compared with initial expectations.
Due to high production costs, quality problems and a recessionary market, the car was not as commercially successful as had been hoped.
Despite its commercial failure, the DeLorean DMC-12 remains a legendary car thanks to its unique design and its place in cinema history 🎬
We replaced the chassis on a Celette frame machine after it sustained damage from a side-impact collision.
An opportunity to discover a naked body and an unusual conception.
