Fire burns through abandoned church in Kansas City's East Bottoms
A fire burned through an abandoned church early Thursday morning in Kansas City. The fire started before 4:30 a.m. at the old St. Francis Seraph Catholic Church near Agnes and Nicholson Avenues. KCFD Battalion Chief Hugh Oldham said crews saw flames inside the building when they arrived. The fire went from the floor to the ceiling and 30 feet above the roof.
