Curio would probably be the AfD's choice as Interior Minister if they ever form a government.

Curio was speaking on Monday December 30th after the Bundestag Internal Affairs / Justice Committee was briefed by various security officials on the status of the investigation into the Magdeburg attack.

0:17 not in line with security standards = the bollards reportedly did not have a chain between them

1:22 Boston Marathon-style attack = 5 people were killed and 17 lost limbs in 2013 when two homemade bombs were placed near the finish line.

LKA = state police (there are 16 of these, one for each state)

BKA = federal / national police (only one of these, they arrest terrorists)

LfV = state domestic intelligence agency (16 of these)

BfV = federal / national domestic intelligence (one of these, they monitor / spy on terrorists)

BND = federal / national foreign intelligence (one of these, they received the intelligence from Saudi Arabia)

Here we are talking about the BND passing on intelligence to the BKA.
