Nearly one third of the gospels are comprised of the parables that Jesus told. These stories were at times familiar to the people, but also new as well. Jesus had a way to put a twist on them that both shocked, surprised and blessed the listeners as He revealed the heart of His Heavenly Father towards humanity.
