Heavy snow disrupts travel at Manchester, Liverpool airports

Heavy snowfall in North West England forced the temporary closure of runways at Manchester Airport and Liverpool John Lennon Airport on Sunday (January 5), the airports announced on X. The runways were reopened several hours later but delays to departures and arrivals were still expected.
