Dismantling Scaffolding in Auckland CBD

The esprit de corps of these scaffolders struck me as I wandered by.

With precision they worked rapidly to disassemble the edifice. The’re methodical, formulaic even. The teamwork is like clockwork: they call out to each other specific statements as they move.

It seems to me gravity is the greatest concern in their line of business. Whenever the small amounts of detritus were disturbed and rattled down they would “hooray!” to warn their colleagues of the threat and acknowledge the error.

These lads are very good at their jobs, effective and efficient. And they were having fun in their labours and taking care of one another.

Teamwork.
