In Today's episode of the CBL Podcast, William Wolfe is joined by Derrick Morgan, Executive Vice President of The Heritage Foundation, to discuss Derrick's journey from a non-religious upbringing to becoming a Southern Baptist leader. He highlights his early interest in politics, influenced by his pro-life views and basketball involvement. Morgan emphasizes the importance of excellence in work and the role of Christians in public policy.

Derrick Morgan is Executive Vice President of The Heritage Foundation where he oversees the policy, communications, and government relations functions under the leadership of Heritage President Dr. Kevin Roberts. Morgan has worked in the business, government, legal, political, and policy sectors. In business, Morgan led the American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers’ advocacy efforts, testified before Congress, and spoke and wrote widely about fuels and the future of transportation. In government, law, and politics, Morgan served in all three branches of government including four senators and one representative in roles from campaign aide to chief of staff.
