Firewood permits now available.

Firewood permits are now available for the Huron Manistee National Forest for 2025 calendar year. Personal use firewood permits are free and allow the holder to obtain up to eight cords per calendar year. A commercial firewood permit allows holders to cut and gather up to 20 cords for $60. Permits can be purchased by phone, mail, or in-person at any of the five HMNF offices. David Barr Michigan News Source.
