Pain relieving cream - non-psychoactive cannabis Joint Juice
CBD/THC has become one of most widely studied, useful and effective components of the cannabis plant. It is known to help people with seizures, reduces stress, helps those with insomnia, and decreases tremors, aches and pain, especially in joints. In this instance, instead of activating the cannabinoids in marijuana through decarboxylation, the raw form is extracted because they are the better source of the therapeutic effects. Decarboxilated cannabis will work as well, but in its raw, non-psychoactive form, it turns out to be more effective for topical pain relief. In other words, you won’t get high if you use it because it hasn’t been heated to trigger the psychoactive effects of the THC in the cannabis.
Ingredients:
2-3 cups fresh cannabis fan leaves (very little, if any THC, and lots of CBD) OR 1/2 cup of buds (THC and CBD).
1.5 cups distilled water (355 ml) I measured this by weight.
1.5 cups organic coconut or olive oil (355 ml) I measured this by weight
1 cup organic Emu oil. I measured this by volume
3/4 cup organic shea butter (177 ml) Measured by weight
1/3 cup organic beeswax (80 ml) Measured by weight
2 tsp organic camphor essential oil (10 ml)
Instead of activating the cannabinoids in the marijuana through decarboxylation, the raw form is extracted because they are the better source of the therapeutic effects. Decarboxilated cannabis will work as well, but in its raw, non-psychoactive form, it turns out to be more effective for topical pain relief.
Bring water to a slow boil then add cannabis. When wilted, add the coconut or olive oil and simmer at a very low boil for two hours, stirring occasionally. Strain the mixture into a glass bowl, pressing out the excess liquid in the cannabis. Wait for the oil to come to the top, then siphon the oil into double-layered cheesecloth or a coffee filter covering a two-cup measuring cup. While it’s filtering, begin melting together the shea butter and beeswax on a double boiler. When the cannabis-infused oil is done filtering, mix it into the Emu oil and camphor essential oil in a four-cup measuring cup or spouted bowl.
In a food processor, put the melted shea butter/wax mixture, then add the infused oil/emu oil/camphor mixture and emulsify. Transfer to a spouted cup so you can easily pour into glass containers. Makes about 5 half pints.
Tip: for easier clean-up, use salt and Dawn to cut the shea butter and wax residue. You may have to repeat a few times.
Why cannabis, Emu oil and camphor? All relieve pain.

Warning: Camphor is toxic if ingested. Also, don’t rub Joint Juice on cuts, scrapes and lacerations as camphor can be harmful in open wounds.
In Michigan where I live, it is legal to grow and possess cannabis, up to a certain amount. Before you begin, check your laws to see what’s legal where you live. Under no circumstances will I sell this product, but I made this video so you can make it if you can legally obtain the ingredients.
You are responsible for determining the CBD and/or THC content, which depends upon the strain of the cannabis plant, the amount used and the quantity of additional products added to your mixture. That said, I have no idea how much CBD/THC is in each jar.
Epilogue: I’ve used this on my arthritic hands and back and it squelched the aches in about 10 minutes, but I always discount my own opinion. However, the feedback I’m getting from people I’ve given this to is pretty astounding. Both the CBD and THC/CBD combo work the same. The most significant testimonial comes from my 95-year-old mother, who shuns the idea of any type of product that contains any part of marijuana. She was concerned she was going to get high and strung out from using it, possibly moving on to stronger drugs like crack, crystal meth or heroin as she heard “Mary Jane is a gateway drug.” After I explained it wasn’t psychoactive, she used it on her hands, knee and foot with neuropathy. She has been able to sleep through the night without waking up from aches and pain.
