Van Halen (Live 1981)

This track is 'Hear about it later' from the Van Halen 4 album, Fair Warning with their original frontman vocalist, David Lee Roth from 1981.

The band broke up three years later in 1984 which was also the name of their final studio album with the original lineup. David Lee Roth pursued a solo career then teamed up with another guitar virtuoso, Steve Vai to form the DLR Band. Sammy Hagar joined Van Halen in 1985.

Van Halen went through several phases and changes until 2012 after almost two decades when David Roth rejoined the band along with Eddie's son, Wolfgang Van Halen on bass guitar.
They then went on a huge tour to play tracks from their first six albums which are considered to be their best works of the band's discography; (VH1, VH2, Women & Children First, Fair Warning, Diver Down, 1984)

Former bassist and backing vocalist Michael Anthony joined Sammy Hagar and guitar legend, Joe Satriani to form the band Chickenfoot.

Edward Van Halen passed away in 2020 of lung cancer at the age of 65. He is considered to be the greatest guitarist of all time by most benchmarks in rock.
