Trump’s promised Jan. 6 “blanket pardons” could test US legal system

The new year will bring a new president for the United States, one who is making big promises of undoing the past.

Donald Trump says he will pardon the hundreds of people who stormed the U.S. Capitol building on Jan. 6, 2021 to try and overturn the election he says he lost.
