Nosferatu (2024) 🚨SPOILER WARNING🚨Review LIVE | 1.2.25

This week’s movie lurks in the shadows, calls to you from afar, likes to drink blood and is just all around, not a great guy. That movie is “Nosferatu” and is the first grand scale vampire movie we’ve seen since Francis Ford Coppola gave us “Bram Stoker’s Dracula” back in 1992. “Nosferatu” is basically the German version of Bram Stoker’s Dracula story. It’s directed by visionary director Robert Eggers who last brought us the Viking epic, “The Northman.” This movie has been his passion project and he finally gets to show us what he can do. It stars an unrecognizable Bill Skarsgard as Count Orlock, the Dracula of this movie who haunts Lily-Rose Depp as Ellen. Later, Nicholas Hoult, as her husband Thomas, goes to the Count’s castle to have him sign some papers for property the Count wants to buy. A dark, deadly, bloody battle against pure evil ensues from there. Ellen and Thomas get help from an expert in the occult, Professor Von Franz, a vampire hunter and their doctor, Dr. Sievers played by Ralph Ineson. Will that be enough to stop all the death unleashed by Count Orlock? I discuss this movie, spoilers and all, in this week’s Movies Merica SPOILER WARNING! “Nosferatu” also stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Willem Dafoe, Emma Corrin, Simon McBurney, Adela Hesova and Milena Konstantinova.
