As red tide lingers in the Gulf of Mexico off of Southwest Florida's coast, businesses on Fort Myers Beach are starting to feel the impacts. Junkanoo, a restaurant and bar on the beach, had to close around 2:30 on Tuesday afternoon due to the overpowering stench of from piles of dead fish that had washed up on the shore. The algae bloom itself has also been making it hard to breathe, leading to numerous hotel room cancelations.
