Babka Dough
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup (120 g) whole milk (at room temperature)
2 tsp (6 g) active dry yeast
2 1/4 cups (280 g), all purpose flour, sifted (plus extra for dusting)
2 cups plus 2 tbsp (220 g) cake flour, sifted
2 large eggs
1/3 cup (75 g) granulated sugar
Large pinch of salt
5 tbsp plus 1 tsp (80 g) unsalted butter, at room temperature

1 1/2 cups (420 g) nutella
1 cup (150 g) semisweet chocolate chips

To make Simple Syrup
3/4 cup plus 1 tbsp (160 g) granulated sugar
1/2 cup (120 g) water
